Hello there! Is anyone still around? I haven't posted here since goodness knows! But my life has been pretty boring so you haven't missed anything juicy.

- Advice please, flisters? Would you be offended if someone paid for you to go on vacation for your birthday? My other best friend Helen (as some of you may remember) got pregnant in high school, she had to give up university to take care of the baby, then her boyfriend- the father- killed himself last year. She's only just now going back to school, and had a really rough year and I couldn't even see her much because of living away at uni, so I would really like to do something nice for her and her daughter Scarlett. I was thinking of taking them to Disneyland Paris while the kid is still young enough to think the magic's real, it would be so fun for her. I know they can't really afford vacations, but is it offensive for me to imply that by paying for it? I don't want to make Helen feel bad. This is honestly coming from a place of love and not charity or anything. I so want to give them this, its probably not my place, but since the father died I've felt a little responsible for Scarlett, I really want her to have a kickass childhood I just love her so much. Would you be offended or feel bad in Helen's place? I suuuuck at putting myself in other's shoes.

♣ Hi all! I got back from vacation last week, it was fun! From what little skiing I actually did in the end after the delays and weather hold-ups. On New Years Eve as the countdown reached zero, I was upside down on a rollercoaster as the fireworks went off! It was awesome. I love California. One day I'll live there you can bet your bottom dollar. Anyway I hope everyone had a great holiday season, and those that asked for cards got them by now :)

♣ I love the holidays because I have so much spare time to actually go to the cinema instead of downloading them :p I saw Black Swan, which was directed amazingly but a complete mindfuck. I was really impressed by Natalie Portman. My sister used to be a ballet dancer so she loved it. Tangled, which was the cutest movie I've seen in quite a while and the colours and animation were beautiful. The songs were great too; the whole thing reminded me of old school renaissance!Disney but with CGI. And finally this weekend I saw TRON and it was awesomesauce, the Daft Punk score was fucking boss, and even without that you should see it purely for Oliva Wilde in a black catsuit. unf.

♣ You may have seen on the news that much of Queensland, Australia is currently flooded, 75% of it in fact. The death toll currently stands at 10 (including 4 children), but the number of those missing is 90. I'm sure there are hundreds of thousands more who are devastated or have been affected and want to get to safe ground, and for their homes to stay safe. I have many friends and family Down Under so I'd really appreciate if you could donate even just a little to the disaster aid fund here. My heart & thoughts go out to everyone in QLD.
